The Streamliner-era arrives. In December of 1939, the railroad took delivery of two, new streamlined, diesel-powered passenger trains, one, named "Henry M. Flagler," for service between Jacksonville and Miami and the other, the "Champion" to inaugurate service in conjunction with our partners north of Jacksonville through to New York City. Other streamliners would follow over the next several years.
