THE TEMPO OF BUSINESS INCREASES, AND THE CITIES GROW. As the early years of the 20th century passed, and business increased with the coming of the great Florida boom of the 1920s, the cities grew almost exponentially, in no small measure thanks to the advertising and support of the FEC. Miami, shown here, literally, exploded, with people pouring in and businesses opening daily. For the 1925-26 season the railroad carded twelve round trip passenger trains daily between Jacksonville and "the magic city."
