St. Augustine & Halifax Railways

In October 1892, the name of the railroad was changed to the J. St. A & I.R. Railway to reflect the extensions south along the east coast. A passenger timetable of the re-named company is shown. The pineapple, which was farmed heavily on the east coast in those days, became the company's symbol and "The East Coast Line" and "The St. Augustine Route" became its slogans.
