August 17, 2015FECR Announces Amendment to Collective Bargaining Agreement
JACKSONVILLE, Fla, August 6, 2015 – Florida East Coast Railway (FECR) is pleased to announce the execution and implementation of new amendment to our Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) with our FECR Train and Engine/Yardmaster employees. These employees are represented by the Sheet Metal Air Rail Transportation (SMART) organization. The CBA’s were amended on June 18, 2015 and compensation as outlined in the agreements was received on July 30, 2015. “FECR is excited that these amended CBA’s provide the foundation for our Train and Engine/Yardmaster employees over the next several years,” said James R. Hertwig, President and CEO of FECR. “SMART members have overwhelming ratified the new amendments to the CBA’s and look forward to working with FECR in the future,” stated John Whitaker, General Chairman, GO-851 SMART-TD.
